President's Message 2011

President’s Message 2011

On behalf of the Spencerville Agricultural Society, I would like to welcome you to the 156th Spencerville Fair. I would like to thank our many volunteers who have been hard at work both physically and mentally planning for our 156th fair. Our fair would not be the
successful venue it is without the hard work and dedication of these invaluable volunteers. With the assistance of our sponsors, as well as the many local businesses that donated prize money or make other contributions our fair would not be the success it is. I would also like to thank all the hard working committee members for their dedicated involvement in making the 2011 fair “One of the Best”! Many country fairs have disappeared due to the lack of involvement from the community; we should all give ourselves a pat on the back for a job well done. To all our exhibitors from past years, A Big Thank You!!! It is your exhibits that keep the people coming into the exhibit buildings all weekend to see what talented people we have in our community.
To the exhibitors for this year Good Luck!!!

Signed Your President

A Message From The Fair Ambassador

Confidence is one of the easiest things that one person can embody. Even if no one is there to believe in you, you always have inner self-confidence and that alone is what you really need to succeed. Being this year's Spencerville Fair Ambassador was a confidence booster for me. It has been a truly self-rewarding experience. It provided me the
opportunity to travel to Toronto for the OAAS Convention where I met 87 other Ontario Fair Ambassadors and proudly represented the Spencerville Agricultural Society. I was able to network and listen to the challenges and experiences from other fairs. After meeting everyone at the convention, it only makes me more excited to participate in the Toronto CNE in August.

As the Spencerville Fair Ambassador I was able to experience many opportunities and meet many wonderful people and that is what makes OUR fair a special community event! I encourage everyone to get involved remembering that volunteers are the backbone to the success of this fair and our directors are the leaders that shape and make OUR fair the best fair possible! No matter your age, they are always looking for more volunteers.
Remember, the moment one fair ends the next years fair planning begins.

Spencerville Fair has also made history in my life, and now I am happy to say that I have made history by being the First Male Spencerville Fair Ambassador. I hope that everyone enjoys the tradition that has lived on in our community for 156 years. I hope to see all the familiar faces and many new faces at the next Spencerville Fair. Being the 2010-2011 Fair Ambassador has been a true honour and I wish next years’ ambassador the same amazing
opportunity!
