Social Story for the Spencerville Fair
We are thrilled to share a very special Social Story, created by Miss Watson’s Kindergarten class at Centennial 67 Public School in partnership with the Real World Learning Project by the Upper Canada District School Board.
This wonderful resource was designed to help children – and visitors of all ages – feel more comfortable and confident when attending the Spencerville Fair. Some students had expressed uncertainty about what to expect, so the class worked together to create a story that walks through the fair experience step by step.
The goal is simple: to make the fair feel welcoming, fun, and a little less overwhelming for anyone who might feel unsure. We couldn’t be more proud of their creativity and compassion, and we’re so excited to offer this Social Story to our community.
Copies have already been shared with local schools that traditionally attend the fair, and now we’re making it available here for everyone who may benefit from it. Whether you’re a first-time fairgoer, a parent preparing your child, or simply curious, we hope this Social Story helps make your visit as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.
