APIARY - HONEY

Information for Exhibitors:

  • Please read General Rules and Regulations.

  • All Exhibitors required to register under their own name not the name of their business or farm. Such entries will be disqualified for judging.

  • All honey must be produced by bees owned by the exhibitor.

  • Fair share 20% percent off prize money

  • No exhibits are to be removed from the exhibit building before 4:30 PM Sunday All prize money in EACH SECTION of this CLASS will be DOUBLED thanks to the generosity of an Anonymous Donor.  

  • Submissions must not have a label or identifying mark.

CLASS 40
HONEY:

Prizes: 1st: $10; 2nd: $8, 3rd: $7
Winner of White Liquid Honey will be asked to advance onto the OAAS District 1 competition.

Sections:

  • 1. White Liquid Honey: (two 500g jars)

  • 2. Golden Liquid Honey: (two 500g jars)

  • 3. Amber Liquid Honey: (two 500g jars)

  • 4. Dark liquid honey (two 500g jars)

  • 5. Comb Honey in a Commercial Container: (two 4” x 5” sections)

  • 6. Infused Honey in a Container and Flavour of Exhibitor's Choice: (two 500g jars)

  • 7. Single Photograph: any aspect of beekeeping (maximum size 8” x 10” unframed but matted with a maximum 2” border), the subject of the photo must be honeybees, honey, or beekeeping activities

  • 8. Candle Made from Natural Beeswax: any shape or size (matching pair)
