GRENVILLE CFDC

Grenville CFDC is a community-based, nonprofit organization funded by the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario. Our mission is investing in jobs, businesses and community innovation in Grenville County.


JUNIOR FARMERS OF ONTARIO

Junior Farmers (JFAO) welcomes anyone between the ages of 15 and 29 as of January 1. Members tend to be rural youth, but contrary to our name many of us are not farmers, and by the time we finish the program, we’re not all that junior! Members come from all walks of life, occupations and backgrounds.


4-H ONTARIO

4-H is a non-profit positive youth development organization that spans 70 countries across the world and 10 provinces across the country. For over a century, 4-H Ontario has been working to build youth as leaders within their communities and assets to the world. With roots in rural Ontario, today 4-H Ontario is open to all youth, of all backgrounds, across the province . In 4-H, youth ages 6–21 and screened, engaged volunteer leaders come together to learn about selected topics through fun hands-on activities and mentorship. There are also provincial camps, conferences, competitions and national and international travel opportunities available to further develop skills in leadership, business, self-confidence and more. 4-H provides youth with a place they can be involved, accepted, valued and heard while developing valuable leadership and life skills. 


ONTARIO ASSOCIATION OF AGRICULTURAL SOCIETIES

Welcome to the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies. The OAAS is the provincial association representing over 200 Agricultural Societies from across the province. Its mission is a resource for its Members, providing leadership through communication and education, and encouraging the promotion of a rural way of life in Ontario.


BEEF FARMERS OF ONTARIO

For over fifty years the Beef Farmers of Ontario (BFO) has been a tough and credible advocate and unified voice for the province’s 19,000 beef farmers, representing all sectors of the industry. BFO is the leading organization in Ontario working with beef farmers to develop and support landmark achievements that move the province’s beef industry forward sustainably and profitably. The Association is involved in a wide range of issues and initiatives that are important to all stakeholders. These include industry sustainability, market development, animal health and care, environment, and food safety. In addition, BFO works closely with other sectors of the agriculture and food industries on areas of mutual concern.

We have a strong voice for our members and the agri-food industry on issues, legislation and regulations governed by municipal, provincial and federal governments.

ONTARIO PLOWMEN’S ASSOCIATION

In the fall of 1910 a meeting of members of the local York association was held in the Richmond Hill Hotel to discuss the possibility of organizing a provincial plowmen's organization... Sixty-four enthusiastic plowmen met in the Walker House Hotel on January 6th, 1911... After much discussion it was moved by Mr. T. A. Patterson and seconded by Mr. W. H. METCALFE FAIR

Metcalfe Agricultural Society hosts the annual Metcalfe Fair, which is one of Ontario’s premier agricultural exhibitions. But we’re more than just a great Fair! The Metcalfe Fairgrounds are home to many events in our community. We are located at 2821 8th Line Road in the Village of Metcalfe (just off Bank Street in the south end of the City of Ottawa). The Fairgrounds have much to offer with open spaces, large buildings, ample parking, and a rich heritage feel.


RICHMOND FAIR

The Richmond Fair is by far the largest spectator event held annually within the surrounding community.​It promotes agricultural awareness within the City of Ottawa, a city with the largest agricultural land base and agricultural economy in Canada. The fair offers a venue for those in the community to showcase their arts, crafts, livestock, produce, and much more!​Each year the fair features events such as agriculture shows, demolition derby, live entertainment, rock climbing, games, rides, and more providing days worth of fun and entertainment for the whole family.​Over 30 different committees are involved in planning the Richmond Fair and other fair sanctioned events hosted on the fairgrounds throughout the year.  The Richmond Fair is supported through fundraising events, donations and partnerships from individuals and businesses throughout our community.  We would like to thank all of our current and past sponsors, patrons, visitors & volunteers for making our fair a continued success!


CARP FAIR

Enjoy a fun filled day in the country at the “Best Little Fair in Canada”, the Carp Fair.   With great music, great shows, and a huge midway… you’ll find something for the entire family!  Feel the exhilaration of all the midway twists turns and tumbles!  Enjoy live music, world-class horse shows, President’s Choice SuperDogs, and our very own Rodeo! Your kids will beam with excitement at the Family Circle tent with magic shows, and puppets or experience agricultural learning in the Ag Tent, petting zoo and more!  It’s a full weekend of family fun! For a great fall day in the country – where all your senses will be activated – see, hear, smell – come visit Carp Fair 2018 and go home exhausted.


PERTH FAIR

The Perth and District Agricultural Society was founded in 1845. Many things have changed over the years, including the name and location of the society. One thing that has remained is the dedicated volunteer base which has supported the organization over the years. Did you know? - The Perth and District Agricultural Society is a non-profit organization that hosts the Perth Fair on Labour Day weekend in Perth, ON. The organization is made up of hundreds of volunteers who come together to present a balance between agricultural and entertainment events.
