The Spencerville Agricultural Society is gearing up for another great fair this year. We are always striving to maximize your experience so exciting things are happening this year!  Be sure to follow our website to see if some of your favourite events are moving or changing.

We hope to see everyone out in September to enjoy the agricultural events and entertainment we have lined up.

We are always in need of volunteers. If you have some time right before or after Fair weekend, we welcome you to come out and help with setup or take down. It takes a lot of time and effort to get it all done and our numbers are dwindling. Coming out even just for a few hours is a huge help.

On behalf of the Spencerville Agricultural Society,  I invite you to come home to your 169th Spencerville Fair.

A Message From Our Ambassador

Welcome back for another successful year!

I am so pleased and honoured to be the 43rd Ambassador of the Spencerville Fair, as this has been a role that I have idolized since I was a child. Growing up, the Fair served as a staple for my family. It is the place where you can count on seeing old and new friends while experiencing a traditional agricultural fair. I have always looked forward to each fair with excitement and anticipation, however, this year means so much more to me as I am the 2023-2024 Spencerville Fair Ambassador. This is my year!

Over the last few months, I have gone from handing out ribbons during the fair, to riding in the parades and connecting with the local community members. I’ve enjoyed participating in countless fundraisers hosted by the Spencerville Agricultural Society. I’ve loved each experience and made the most of them. One thing I know I have truly enjoyed is getting to meet all the incredible volunteers who work around the year to make our fair a success. It’s truly a masterpiece to see the team work together throughout the year as planning for this incredible annual event starts as soon as the last fair ends.

Being the Ambassador has brought me so much joy and is one of my greatest achievements. As I get ready to represent the Spencerville Agricultural Society at the Canadian National Exhibition, I am reminded why our fair is so important for our community. It provides an up close and personal experience with agriculture, from meeting the farmers who make it all happen to learn about their farming practices, old and new. It’s a place where both urban and rural community members can come together and celebrate as one. It’s a place for memories to be made, and to be relived. It truly is a magical event.

I know the Spencerville Agricultural Society is working extra hard to bring this year’s fair to life and they can’t wait to welcome you all home.

Heidi Hitsman,
Ambassador 2023 - 2024
